After one year working on an engine that wasn't done in time, I had to go for unity and that was a disaster, I have no intent on using unity again.
Inefficiency is a game about how crappy you are, and how, as a robot, you should probably reconsider murdering the human race. **This game is not me at my best**

Plot

The game is about you, a robot named George who recently decided to wipe out the human race on a Friday night with some mates, you then sound that your solar powered battery was running low to you went for a nap to recharge it. Upon waking up to find yourself in a dodgy alleyway full of battery harvesting solar powered robot and thanks to global warming the sun it too weak to charge your battery enough to go out of the sun so you should probably stay out of the shade. Armed with your trusty UV wave blocker you must both trick and shoot your enemies out of the sunlight and escape, be warned though, they too have magic shooty things that are hooked into the same solar powered battery causing all these problems so shoot sparingly.

Controls

The game uses WASD and left click to shoot, that's it.

Other notes

This is my first LD I worked on in a group (hence this being Jam and not compo) and my engine wasn't done in time and so I had to go to unity, which is the first and last time I'll ever be going near that horrible engine. Next time I'll have my own engine up and running and the game *should* be of a much higher quality.
